In this section of the Hostinger India Review 2024, we will explore how to host a website using Hostinger India.

Step 1: Create a Hosting Account

The first step is to create a Hostinger India account, which should take no more than five minutes. Once done, you must activate it by clicking the link sent to your email.

After your account is validated, log in and select the Hosting tab. Under it, choose “New Account.” When setting up a new hosting account, you will be presented with options for a free, premium, or business account.

Step 2: Place Your Order

After selecting a hosting plan, choose a website password and a subdomain name (you can also use a password generated automatically by clicking the generate button next to the password field). On the following screen, enter the correct captcha code, check the “I agree to terms and conditions” box, and click proceed to complete your transaction.

Step 3: Manage Your Account

Once you have created the subdomain hosting account, select “hide/show” from the dropdown menu (the box with the plus symbol for additional options) and choose “manage.” You will be directed to a new page. Click the info icon to view specific details about the newly created website.

Furthermore, the dashboard on the right side of the page provides access to all website details.

Step 4: Import Your Website

Scroll down and look at the left side of the page, under the Website show/hide box (also accessible in the account section). Click the plus sign within the small box to reveal more options.

To instantly import your website, click the button. Prepare your website’s files for upload when the new page loads.

Step 5: Check If Your Website Is Up

To verify whether your website is up and running, it’s essential to test its status:

• Visit Website Planet.
• Enter the website URL and click the check button.

Step 6: Delete the Default .php File

If you haven’t opened the webpage in a new tab, click your browser’s back button once. Scroll down to the files tab on the left side of the screen and choose the File Manager 2 submenu option. 

After it loads, select the default.php and htaccess files in the public .html folder, then click Delete. 

A confirmation message will appear on the webpage after deletion. Clicking the back arrow will return you to the dashboard.

Step 7: Set Up Redirect

Although your website is almost complete, you don’t want it to resemble the one in the screenshot. 

To resolve this issue, return to the Domain tab on the left side of the dashboard. Click the button to open the redirection submenu. 

Be careful not to confuse the connection in this section.

Here, you will need two links: the one you just copied and the URL link for the original website (if you forgot to copy the second link, simply go back and re-read the text before the poll). Paste the URL into the “redirect to” text box.

 Once done, launch your website, and it should be perfect and error-free.
